About Notic

Get to know me. Get to know the brand.

The Vision

Notic is funky art for people who like funky fun things. Art across all types of mediums on all types of products.

But I want Notic to be more than products. I want it to be a community. I share some "how-to" videos on my social media accounts. I always could learn some art tips and love seeing other peoples work😊. One day, I want to see Notic become a physical space for artists of all kinds to come together and celebrate, share and enjoy art. I have big plans.

The Beginning

I have loved creating since I was a small kid. I always wanted to do a crafts for my birthday parties (thanks mom for making that happen). As I grew so did my love for making. From painting/drawing, and crafting little creatures called Dudes and cities for them to live with my bestie, to DIY room decor as a preteen, and ceramics in high school, learning different mediums was so exciting.

Art brought me so much joy and keeps my imagination thriving. I wanted to share and receive that joy with others but I was so nervous. Art has also been something I shared with myself and people closed to me and sharing with the world seemed daunting. I was nervous of someone hating my work and tearing me down for it. I realized into my late teenage years that not everyone will like everything but some people will!!! When I gained confidence, I opened my art and love for it into the world, slowly, but determined.

Now in my mid-twenties, I'm full force ahead. I want to connect with people through art and do that I have to put myself out there. I am now able to provided more resources and a drive stronger than ever to really make this art shit work. This is just the start.

Throwback to a bird painting I did when I was 9.

The Name

It originally was inspired by the beverage below, HPNOTIQ (several nights out in college were accompanied by this beverage lol). The name then lead to the word Hypnotic and then just Notic.

I liked it because it also was similar sounding to Nordic, and my mothers side is Norwegian.

All in all, Notic just sounds badass.
